More fabulous up-dos!
A few days ago I posted some thoughts on what is, in my opinion, one of the best wedding hairstyles; the elegant up-do. On your wedding day you need your hair to look wonderful and you need it to look wonderful for a very long time. Unless you have the good fortune to have professional hair and makeup on call all day and evening, you also need your lovely wedding hair-do to be zero maintenance. This is why the up-do has remained a wedding classic.
And don’t think that choosing this timeless wedding hair style limits you! Every bride is unique; you have your own sense of style, and your own comfort zone when it comes to
your hair style. In addition to the three updo’s I posted last time, here are four more very different and very elegant looks. Don’t be afraid to check out these daring wedding up do’s, in fact it would be a great idea to give the best of these wedding hair styles a trial run so you are absolutely sure your hair will look its best on your special day. They range from classic to contemporary so have some fun!
The Hottest Bridal Bun In Town
We are seeing more sweet, simple buns worn at the nape of the neck. These buns, created from cleverly interwoven locks of hair wound into a low spiral like this, are daintily delicate and effortlessly lovely. These lovely wedding hairstyle up-dos go with every style of wedding and wedding outfit, and as the day goes on and tendrils of hair begin to escape, they just look better.
For a more dramatic take on both the bun and the braid, dress your wedding hair style with intricate and varied plaiting, supplemented by different kinds and even colors of faux braiding (if your hair is short or mid-length) This will make a high-impact statement on your big day and will look particularly wonderful with an otherwise simple, Grecian wedding look.
The Bridal Bun with Flower Accessory
There’s something so glamorous about wearing a real flower in your hair, especially if it matches your bouquet. Choose a sturdy flower like a lily or a magnolia you don’t want a wilted bloom in your wedding up do all day! Keep the hair and jewelry simple, so that the flower is the centerpiece of your wedding hair style look. A classic, smooth up-do means minimum effort, and yet it shows the flower – and your face – to maximum effect. The key to success with this look is that your hair still needs to be in great condition, even though it is up-swept, so that when you slick it back, we suggest using a product like “MINARDI COLOR GLISTEN” so the shine contrasts with the dramatic wedding hair accessory. Then you place the flower accessory in a way that is most complimentary to your looks.
The Dolly Up-do
If you have a china doll complexion and petite features then go super girlie with a cute curls-piled-high hair style. Work those waves into a tumbling up-do and pin with jeweled hair accessories. For a somewhat 1920′s retro look you can even finish this style with an eclectic hair band to frame the up-do. Don’t scrimp on the rouge!
